Soiree: an evening party or social gathering, especially one held for a particular purpose . . .  SEPTA's purpose is our children!

This is our annual fundraiser -- proceeds will help us continue to offer enriching after-school programs and support our scholarships for special education students in our district. 

This is an adults-only cocktail party with raffle baskets, music and great food!

 Dear Corporate Sponsor, Local Merchant and Community Member:

On Friday, March 30, 2012, Northport- East Northport SEPTA (Special Education Parent Teacher Association) will hold its Spring Soiree at Larkfield Manor in East Northport. Our Spring Soiree raises monies via Chinese Auction Baskets and Silent Auctions. The evening’s proceeds will directly benefit Northport-East Northport School District children. The scope of the fundraising effort is extensive, benefiting the district’s preschool, six elementary schools, two middle schools, and high school. 

In tough economic times, communities show their strength and, most importantly, their heart! A successful 2010-11 fundraising effort allowed SEPTA to continue offering Yoga, Music, Art Therapy and Dance programs to special needs students in our community who would not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in structured therapeutic/recreational after-school programs. We also expanded our offerings to include a very successful Social Skills Therapy program. Due to your past generosity, we implemented SEPTA “Movie Days” over a year ago, offering our membership families an opportunity to view movies with their special needs children in an understanding environment.

SEPTA prides itself in providing numerous scholarships for meritorious efforts of special education graduating seniors and we also implemented a “Future Special Educator” scholarship.  

We hope our 2012 fundraiser will be a huge success -- proceeds will help continue to fund these programs and scholarships. We are depending on the generosity of businesses such as yours to help us meet our goals.
